My husband is a patient/client at Biltmore Assisted Living facility and I am very pleased with the quality of care that he has received while a resident. My husband suffers from dementia. The director of the facility, Traci Victor, has given me access to her phone number, and the communication is great. She prefers communication via texting, as it allows for faster response time.
The facility is on the smaller side, with 10 residents calling the property home. However, because of the smaller patient size, it allows for a more favorable patient to staff ratio. The kitchen is an open concept adjacent to the main game/TV room. The food is prepared daily, and is high-quality and nutritious. The portions may appear small, but the residents are mostly elderly, and that fits with their lifestyle.
My husband has his own private room with an accompanying bathroom (consisting of a toilet and sink) attached. The shower is across the hall, which is appropriate for safety and assistance. There is a very nice “sun room” facing a large back yard. I have seen residents enjoying said room, and meals are done with socialization with other residents. My husband prefers his meals to be served on the couch in front of the main TV using a table with wheels.
Medications are coordinated and dispensed. I feel blessed to have Dr. Talisa Adkinson, MD, reviewing his needs monthly. She is truly a saint and spent at least thirty minutes interviewing him. Her office staff is also exemplary. If I need to call, someone will pick up, which is convenient for me, as I reside out of state. Dr. Adkinson will either respond herself, or direct staff of her intentions. Doctor is the physician for most of the other residents.
Holidays are festive, and Traci has the facility decorated to reflect the season. Traci has given special interest to my husband during Christmas and his birthday. He is a fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team, and she was thoughtful enough to gift him a hat of said franchise for his birthday. He has spoken of this gift frequently, and it gives him much comfort and pleasure. This is of much amazement on my part due to his dementia and short term memory loss.
I highly recommend Biltmore Assisted Living for loved ones who are experiencing issues with memory loss and cognitive decline. The facility is a thorough, safe and a clean environment. They have performed a difficult job to a high standard.
Biltmore Assisted Living has truly been a blessing for our family. From the very beginning, we felt the love, compassion, and care that goes into everything they do. It’s clear that this isn’t just a job for the staff here they genuinely care about the residents and treat them like family. The caregivers are attentive, patient, and kind, and it brings so much peace knowing our loved one is in a safe, nurturing environment. The home always feels warm and welcoming, the meals are thoughtful and comforting, and the way they celebrate holidays and special moments really makes it feel like a true home, not just a facility. Traci and the entire team go above and beyond, and their hearts shine through in the care they provide every single day. We are incredibly grateful for the love, respect, and dignity they show our loved one, and for the reassurance they give our family. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with genuine compassion and treated like family, Biltmore Assisted Living is truly something special.
I can’t say enough about the care team at Biltmore. From everyday support to extra kindness on tough days, the caregivers treat residents like family. Shout-out to Traci she always goes above and beyond with patience and heart.
Great home, unlike any other in size and space and grounds. Staff is very caring and the place is spotless. The food is home cooked in an open kitchen area where residents can watch cooking and hang out. My mom enjoyed sitting at the kitchen counter and having her coffee. Linda, a caretaker and chef was a warm and kind woman. Each room has a nice TV. My mom had a very large room with private bathroom and shower and dressers to use if needed, but she liked her own things. I loved visiting, everyone was so welcoming and kind and my mom’s room was beautiful and very comfortable. I’d go over, as well as other family members, to join her for happy hour in her room. She passed away September 2023, very content and peaceful at Biltmore Assisted. We are grateful that her last days were happy ones. One negative is that the activities schedule was never followed. There was supposed to be Bingo every Friday and there wasn’t. There was supposed to be a guest musician, but there wasn’t during the 2 months of my mom’s stay. Very important, read the Contract line by line. Mike, the owner, was very engaging, but he would say one thing and the contract would say another. Do not let anyone rush you. Deposit of one month’s rent is non refundable even if your loved one passes away after one day or 2 months. Resident must live on premises for minimum of 360 days to get any refund. Check contract carefully, assisted living facilities are not regulated by the State of Arizona. The Landlord Tenant Act does not apply. Make sure to have Mike give you a copy of contract right then. I say this because transparency is importantly. Deposit was $6,000. I understand the need for deposits or initial fee, but being upfront is only fair.
Best of luck.
My dad’s birthday at Biltmore was better than anything we could have planned. The staff threw a beautiful party decorated the dining room, and made him feel like the star of the day. The caregivers are attentive and genuinely love the residents. If you want quality care and love for your loved ones we love Biltmore Assisted living we can’t thank you enough
