Horrible depressing place for your loved one. My step brother placed my mom here while my cousin and I were making other arrangements for mom. Yes, it was clean, but the residents sat around like zombies. Despite them saying they have all kinds of activities every day, every time I visited, the residents were all lined up in lounge chairs in front of the TV. Most of them were falling asleep from boredom. No interaction unless they visibly needed help or when they were rounding them up for meals or to put them to bed. Then my step brother decided that he didn't want me visiting any more, lied to my mom about me, write an handwritten note that I wasn't allowed to see her, gave it to the staff and told the staff I wasn't allowed in. He had no right to do so, but they refused to let me in. I even called the police to try to get in, but since it was a private residence and not a public facility, the police couldn't do anything. They wouldn't even let the police in to tell her I was there. I could go on and on, but the bottom line- STAY AWAY!! I would give 0 stars if I could.
Finding the right place for a loved one can be overwhelming, but Astoria Manor made that decision easy. This is not just an assisted living facility, it’s a true home, filled with kindness, warmth, and dignity.
The staff is exceptional, attentive, patient, and genuinely caring. They take the time to get to know each resident personally and tailor their care to individual needs. The environment is clean, calm, and cozy, creating a peaceful atmosphere where residents feel safe and valued.
The meals are nutritious and thoughtfully prepared, and there’s always something engaging going on, whether it’s activities, conversations, or simply quiet moments shared with compassion.
It’s rare to find a place that blends professional care with such a personal touch. I’m incredibly grateful for the team at Astoria Manor.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a loving, respectful, and supportive environment for their loved one.
We visited a friend first time at Astoria but he was out. Dan, a very nice staff showed us around. The place was very spacious, clean and tidy. Throughout our visit, Dan was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. He was patient and succinct in explaining all details about Astoria. Dan appears to be very proud of the care offered at the facility.
Astoria Manor Assisted Living is a very nice place to stay and the most important of all is the loving, caring and supporting staff who have a loving heart to make sure all residents live healthily and happily.
Moving my mom into assisted living wasn’t easy, but Astoria Manor made it the best decision we could have made. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, they treat her like family, and that means everything to us.
She’s made friends, stays active, and is truly cared for in every way. The facility is clean, warm, and welcoming, and I’ve seen a real improvement in her happiness and well-being.
Knowing my mom is safe, respected, and loved gives me peace of mind every single day. Thank you, Astoria Manor, for taking such good care of her.
My interaction with the staff was friendly and professional, and the meals were hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend their offered care for your loved ones!
