Michele in particular offered nothing but warmth, a genuine lack of pressure, and most importantly...Patience! Judy Morton★★★★★a year agoLove Amir’s ‼️ After losing my husband and having to sell my home And having a multitude of decisions, I didn’t think I’d ever find another place where I felt comfortable And could call home. Well, I did! I could go on and on about the comfort, welcome feeling, plush surroundings,,etc. Numerous activities, (really like having my grocery shopping done then served at the dining tables, which I’ll throw in how very special all the patience of these waiters waitresses have, and then having the whole mess cleaned up. All I have to do is chow down enjoy and go back to my apartment😀. I am very appreciative with everyone that keeps our community operating!! A huge thank you ,much love and gratitude to each of you when sometimes I know you feel like there’s a lot of thankless residence. I’m not one of them.💖

Memory Care takes the BEST care of her with meals, activities (when she participates!), checking on her and providing companionship when I cannot be with her. Happy Hours and music are entertaining too! It is a wonderful community!

We are getting appropriately charged now and Michalynn and Shane have worked hard to get our Billings straightened out. We have seen improvements in the staffing and training. We believe this will keep up and feel much better about the facility. It’s become vibrant and active for all residents and now the bus can even take them to appointments. Thank you Shane for your efforts and the team.
I am saddened to provide a poor review for Amira Choice Arvada. My parents are currently living there, and while there are some amazing and wonderful staff members, many issues remain unresolved. We are currently paying between $17,000 and $19,000 a month for a two-bedroom apartment with assisted living care.
One major concern is their inability to bill correctly for long-term care insurance. I still have not received an explanation for the significantly higher charges this past month. Initially, the management company, Great Lakes, was helpful when the staff tried to push my father into memory care after he came back from rehab with a UTI that affected his memory. Thankfully, Great Lakes assisted me in working with the nursing staff at Amira Choice, and my father is now doing well back in his regular apartment. Yet now Great Lakes ignores my emails and we still have no resolution to billing. No return phone call.
However, we continue to face problems with billing, a lack of communication about the level of care we are paying for, and the unclear process for adding additional services without extra charges. It often feels like they provide only the minimum care without informing us fully.
I've hesitated to share this review because some caregivers and the activities director are truly outstanding. However, I have also observed that my parents may be punished or set up for trouble, which is heartbreaking. One caregiver who I had complained about poor communication, then proceeded to call and wake me at 5 am saying she wanted to make sure she was communicating with me.
It is very disappointing that a place that has raised our charges from $13,000 to nearly $20,000 since November provides this kind of treatment without adequate explanation. I've also noticed a real push to put people into memory care so they don't have to provide appropriate care in their current rooms.
