We toured Mackenzie’s place a while back and really liked what they had to offer. We placed our granddad on the waiting list, and didn’t have to wait long to get the call about an opening! Savannah gave our whole family the tour and answered the 101 questions we had about the place. Our granddad has been living here for about 2 months and is really enjoying himself! It is amazing to see him get to be social and surrounded by people his age. There are a TON of activities, a gym and even a full on movie theater. The staff are fantastic and always helpful. It’s in a very great location making it super easy for our whole family to stop by at any time. My boyfriend and I visit him at least once a week to see him, grab a cheap beer and eat at the restaurant (which I really have zero complaints about, the food is actually really good!) Overall Mackenzie’s place is a vibe, I might just need to put my name on the waiting list for when it’s my time haha
I come here to visit a family member of mine and my Uncle loves it here and has no complaints with the staff, but the little short haired gal who works the front desk on weekday afternoons is always so rude. You would think someone who's job involves hospitality would be a little friendlier, but interacting with her is dreadful every time. The other gal who works the desk is always so nice and helpful.
I've visited many times. The staff truly cares about the residents, but they're more than residents, they're family. The restaurant is top notch. The chef's entrees are delicious.
MacKenzie place is always striving to improve. It would be an honor to have my parents live there.
Our 96 year old mother, Gerry, chose an independent living apartment arrangement and moved in just after Thanksgiving. She is very pleased with her surroundings and the friendly employees that she interacts with daily. She loves the good variety of food choices and flexible eating hours. She truly enjoys the friends she has made and looks forward to sharing with them at meal times. Our family likes the ease of eating with her there and likes the quality and value of meals. The entire family agrees that she made an excellent lifestyle choice of joining the friendly and capable staff at Mackenzie Place.
