I would recommend The Peaks Care Center to everyone! Their staff and accommodations were amazing. My dad was with them for 2 weeks, and actually liked the stay! The staff are ALL super sweet, and make sure your loved one is safe. We loved everyone!!
At first I was put off by the building and location initially. But the Peaks came highly recommended as a rehab center from several people in the field that I know. I have to say the staff absolutely rocked. They were amazing especially the therapists. My dad initially came in from a stroke almost completely paralyzed on the right side, he was on a feeding tube, unable to eat anything. Previous to being here he had been in acute rehab and made very little progress. I didn't have high hopes for any sort of recovery. When he discharged he was a completely different person, his speech had improved, he has zero dietary restrictions, no feeding tube, and he's able to stand, transfer himself, and walk with a walker. It was an amazing transformation and I'm grateful to the staff
My father in law came to The Peaks after having a stoke. Having suffered my own life changing injury years ago I know what goes into the rehab process. It's 1/3 dumb luck, 1/3 patient motivation, and 1/3 the therapists and the environment they provide.
The rehab center at the peaks is incredible. The occupational, physical, and speech therapists took him from almost no mobility on his right side to walking, from needing a feeding tube to no diet restrictions eating regular food.
Not only are they good at what they do but you can tell they care. There's so much apathy in the world these days but you won't find that here.
This is the first rehab place I’ve ever been in where they truly care about you and focus not only on the physical but the emotional needs as well.
They are very hands on and work in perfect sync with you and the other therapists to meet your needs. They know all or at least most of their patients and even try to remember everybody’s name. If they are unable to answer any questions you may have they will find someone that can. They are very good at keeping you and everyone else in a good flow from breakfast time, physical therapy, to crafts and even a nap or two.
I literally adore, respect and appreciate the staff here.
