Choosing an assisted living community for a loved one is one of the biggest decisions a family can make, and Curlew Care has exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment my mother arrived, the entire staff welcomed her with open arms and made her feel truly at home. Since moving in, she isn't just well-cared for—she is genuinely thriving, both personally and in her health.
A special mention must go to Montice, the director, who has gone above and beyond in every possible way to ensure my mother has everything she needs. The dedication, warmth, and professionalism of the staff are second to none. I have complete peace of mind knowing my mother is in such compassionate, capable hands. I cannot recommend Curlew Care highly enough!"
I am so glad that I found Curlew Care for my mom. The staff from management to caregivers have been so caring and helpful. This has been hard transition from living independently in Virginia and having to leave friends and family. Mom has made friends and enjoys activities and sitting outside on the awesome screened in front porch. The staff and especially Montice have gone above and beyond to make mom feel at home. Mom is happy to call Curlew home and so am I.
My father was initially a resident at Evergreen Manor and then had the opportunity to transfer to the this sister facility Curlew Care earlier this year. He has spoken very highly of both facilities and seems incredibly happy especially since his transfer to Curlew Care. He has a lot of space, speaks of how clean and generally nice the facility is, and enjoys the numerous activities offered. I am out of state and it brings me comfort to know he is safe and well cared for. The administrator Montice for both facilities has been amazing at providing updates and photos, and she is always responsive and available to discuss any questions or concerns that I have.
We absolutely love this place. My mom is very happy here. The staff had become like family. We adore Montice, Karen and Naomi. I'm so grateful my mom is happy here and she loves the food. It's been newly remodeled as well. They have recently been night by new owners and there is no memory care here the new owners and staff have done a great job. .
Update, they just got a new chef named Nicole. Everyone is praising her cooking skills. She is also a very kind soul.
curlew care to me is more than just an assisted living facility for mom its also my home because thats the feeling i get when im there with mom.. she has made many new friends and feels safe and thats a huge comfort to me..all of the staff treat her as family..they also share with you via pictures on the online portal activities on a daily basis..the director montice goes above and beyond to help with any little issues that may arise and from personal experience answers txt’s at hours you would never expect a fast reply.. thank you curlew care for becoming a part of my family
