From the outside the place looks very nice. After you’ve been in the Rehab area after a few minutes you see it could use some serious TLC. Every fire door down in the corridors could use some paint as they look dirty. The first night my wife was there she didn’t get dinner until around 10:00 pm. She received a turkey sandwich and the bread was stale. There were holes in the walls and it looks like the place could use a deep cleaning. The CNA’S were lazy and not helpful at all, mostly standing in the corridors and took their time answering the call button. The arms rest on the wheelchair was loose and almost falling off. The one positive is the place didn’t smell. For the price that you pay, it was surprising Physically Therapy didn’t work on the weekends no did the maintenance staff. Then to top it off they put her in a room where the other patient was sick and the where testing her for C-Diff. They lied to my wife and said it wasn’t contagious.
My mom was in there for rehab for a broken hip. The staff are very kind & caring. They are always eager to assist with anything. Meals are very good. The physio dept is excellent they care & they push when needed. If you go to therapy & want results they will get you there. They answered all of our questions & always went above & beyond. Thank you to the entire team!
Looking for an excellent rehab facility for your loved one? Look no further, Harbor Health is clean, well staffed, food is very good. My 94 yr. old mother is a retired nurse and very hard to please. She has not had one complaint. She is a very healthy, but picky eater. The occupational/speech therapist goes out of her way to go to dietary with any request my mom has just so she will eat. She has begun to gain weight and is getting stronger every day thanks to the kind and excellent care she is receiving. My sincere thanks and prayers to everyone at Harbor Health ❤️ 🙏 Jean T.
The team at Harbour Health Center are highly competent, compassionate, and dedicated to dignity. My love one has been at the campus for over a month, and is doing better emotionally because they feel the dedication to healthcare. We have been to a few skilled nursing facilities and they all fell short on the basic care. This team works collaboratively for the physical and emotional well being. Quality care in the evenings and weekends, where every other facility fell short. Proactive infection control and nursing. My loved one is highly Compromised and the team doesn’t miss a beat in keeping her healthy to her ability. You will not find a better skilled nursing facility in Charlotte County period.
What a horrible place this is! You may want to think again before you choose this place for care. The nightmare for my cousin began in the admissions office where we were promised the best of care in area. It ended as you would not expect it to. The place is filthy, under staffed and poorly managed. Visiting at night, with what staff were there, were found sleeping. No staff at night to care for the vulnerable people. There may have been one or two staff that had compassion but that’s about it! Think twice!
