My husband is a resident of the Riverside Cottages since last November and both he and I are grateful for the kindness and support of the staff and entire community. We feel blessed that my husband can feel as if the residence is his home and, most significantly, he tells me he feels safe. This is truly a gem amidst all the Assisted Living facilities.
Riverside Cottages provided exceptional care for my dad during his time there while he was living with vascular dementia. From the moment he arrived, we felt supported and confident that he was in compassionate, capable hands.
Emily, the director, does an outstanding job ensuring the facility is well run, organized, and attentive to each resident’s needs. The owners being onsite is another reassurance, leadership is present and genuinely invested.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the caregivers who show up every day with patience, kindness, and dedication. Their compassion made this difficult journey much easier for my mom and I, and we are deeply grateful for the excellent care they provided my dad.
If you have to make the difficult decision to place a loved one in a facility-this is the one you need to consider.
The director, Emily, is very involved in overseeing residents’ care and excels at finding solutions to challenges, as needed. The caregivers, other employees, and the owners always treated our family with kindness and compassion. The buildings and grounds are nicely maintained and it is evident that the owners care about the residents and the environment that is their home.
I recently moved my mom here from a different community in Jacksonville. She’s been here a short time and they are taking great care of her. My mom is non verbal and they are just fabulous with here. She gets her hair and nails done every week. There always some activity going on. Wednesday a lady comes in with a harp and residents listen for a while, then can try it themselves with some ladies singing as well. All the staff has been compassionate and caring. I’m glad I moved her to this community.
I wouldn’t recommend taking your family there. Poor care.. and when you’re working there and you decide to retire and you have a family member staying there they give you a 45 day eviction notice with somebody with dementia and don’t even assist in getting into another place. That says a lot about the management and business. If you are operating your business right, you would help your residence that you evict helped them in the process of getting somebody in somewhere else.
