I toured Cresthaven about 2 years ago when I first started this journey for my mom. I decided to tour them again this week and I am blown away by the changes. It’s inviting and gives a family like environment. The management team was very welcoming and attentive. The vibes there made it feel good. Thank you Diana and Charlotte for making this decision feel good!
My mother recently passed but her decline started at this point. I honestly believe that she would be alive had she not gone here. The recruiter is an absolute liar. This is not affordable luxury. This is an efficiency/motel like accommodation. You should have a certain level of independence when admitting here. It's like a dormitory for the elderly. My mother slept in her wheel chair for 3 days without adequate care and support. Typical CNA and Nurses with bad attitudes and speaking Kreyol. She went to the hospital as a result of blood clots in her legs from being upright in her wheel chair for 3 days. All of that led to months of hospitalizations which intern caused her death. She was perfectly fine at Martin Coast. It all went downhill the moment she entered this facility.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility! From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that so much care and attention has gone into every detail — the space is absolutely beautiful, clean, and welcoming.
A huge part of what makes this place truly special is Anna, the Executive Director. She is an exceptional leader who goes above and beyond to ensure residents feel at home and families feel at ease. Her dedication, warmth, and professionalism shine through in everything she does. You can tell the entire staff takes their cue from her — everyone is kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the people in their care.
If you’re looking for an assisted living facility where your loved one will be treated with dignity and love, look no further. Anna and her team make this place extraordinary. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Crest Haven my family will not recommend. My dad’s room was so dirty and smelled so bad. When we called they never returned calls. My dad always complained about the food every day and since he was missing teeth they did not accommodate him with food he would want to eat so we sent him food from the outside. He passed last week and weighed very little. Crest Haven did not call ambulance when he fell from and infection from his catheter until my sister insisted he goes to hospital. After he passed my sister went to the room she could not even be in there to take his stuff because the condition and odor of room was so bad. Do not send your loved ones there!
I wouldn't recommend this establishment for your loved one's care. My relative has experienced clothing theft, his memory issues are overlooked, and the staff allows him to care for himself without supervision. In addition to the fecal buildup in his buttocks during a recent visit, despite his clothes not being wet, he smelled of urine, he required a thorough bath due to hygiene concerns. Personal care was neglected, taking over 25 minutes to clean him at home. Additionally, new clothing I purchase for him often goes missing. Upon laundering the attire he was wearing, I discovered an alternate name inscribed on the clothing, this highlights a lapse in management and attention to detail.
