Husband spent 7 total days there. One day to move in he left to go to Alder Care Hospice on day 7 passed away the next day We then cleaned his room out on Sunday so a total occupancy of 12 days. The worst 7 days ever. He was in constant pain screamed every night in pain. We were told the pain would be controlled which it wasn’t. They were told he needed assistance with feeding as he couldn’t feed himself. I Came in one morning to see him in a wheelchair, they stuck a fork in his frail hand to feed himself. Juice was all over his tray and dripping on the floor. He was left sleeping in his chair in a hallway all by himself They messed up the refund of the $$ I paid upon his arriving. There was a so called $3000 “Maintenance “ fee that was non refundable for any damage they had to fix after he left. We hung no pictures, tv was not mounted to the wall. We left the place cleaner than when we arrived and they refused to do a partial refund of that ridiculous fee. First refund check they sent me was short by almost $700. I had to send a detailed account of how it should have been figured. After a month they finally sent a second check for the rest of my refund but still refused to send a partial refund for the maintenance fee I paid. The Hoyer lift charge was $1,000 a month Terrible. For the 12 days we actually occupied the place with him only being there 7 days we paid over $6881 for his 7 day stay. Pretty damn expensive. Please do your research. That Maintenance fee is a terrible amount to pay. Sadly I got took
S R★★★★★2 months agoTHEY ARE KILLING YOUR LOVED ONE!!! If you care anything about your loved ones you would refrain from moving them to this place! My mom got a UTI and left unattended hit her head, busted her lip and hip in this place. She’s been sent to the emergency room literally every week since she moved to this facility! 4 TIMES! Each emergency visit she had to stay a week or more and she only was transferred to the facility in June! I was wondering yesterday why she don’t sound like her self and no one said anything. Since that fall she has not eaten, drank, talked or moved for a week!!! She’s bed ridden since July 18th. My mom was so full of life till she went to this place. The signs are there don’t ignore it. Read the reviews. Communication is nonexistent just like that staff!!! My mom could die any day now. I pray to God no one sends their family member here and go through this.
UPDATE: showed up unexpectedly since I was told my mother isn’t mobile, eating or talking for a week since they let her fall. I’ll start with from the moment I enter, no one at the desk. The one employee we saw running inside let us in and left us at main entrance and disappeared. Saw a resident on that entire floor by herself in a wheelchair and she had to direct us to find my mom’s room. Memory care patients are in the basement! No window, place looks depressing. Got to the first floor saw one tech and she did not even asked how she can help or who are. Asked her where to find the room number and she just pointed. Mind you I could be some random walking in there to harm a resident. Every corner a resident is ALONE! Got to my mom’s room and she was hanging off the bed, in a freezing cold room, blood clots on both her heels and water blisters on her ankles and under toe, malnourished and bruised. I had to call 911 to come save my mom. I brought food and she was so happy to have something in a her mouth and was starving! Bruised arms and roaches running around her room. Empty boxes laying around the room. The cops came and got emt to take my mom to the ER bc she has not eaten in over a week!!! They would not even feed assist her or groom her. If I did not show up when I did my mom would probably would have died! My mom is currently in the hospital and they agree with me to not send her back to that home! My mom is eating again and been on iv since I got her away from that graveyard! Currently seeing a wound specialist and still not mobile.
PLEASE CHECK ON YOUR LOVED ONES! They can keep changing the name of the facility but they can’t change the nightmare of a place that is!
