I just had the opportunity to tour the Arbor Ridge facility in Huntersville and wow. I was seriously impressed. It was the cleanest and best smelling facility I have ever been in. The staff was extremely friendly and highly engaged with the residents. The daily activities and planning that goes into keeping the residents active was seriously impressive as well. The food menu was like a high end restaurant. I can honestly say with no hesitation that I would recommend any of my family or friends to live in this facility! If you are looking for a great active community of friendly people check it out!
My mother was a resident for approximately 6 months in memory care here. In my opinion, Arbor Ridge is an admirable facility, but not perfect.
The facility is clean, the food is good, and the staff is generally polite and caring. They do a great job of engaging the residents in activities and have fun and festive events for holidays.
On a less favorable note and worth mentioning, there are some times an obvious sign of staff fatigue. Sadly, but common in this field, some staff choose to work double, 16-hour shifts, which is not an ideal situation for providing regular, attentive care.
While this is a respectable community, there is certainly room for improvement.
Lastly, this community does not provide skilled nursing care so understand that if your parent becomes in need of that higher level of care, you will find yourself looking for another facility.
Overall, Arbor Ridge is a well-intentioned facility with a pleasant environment and caring staff.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Arbor Ridge of Huntersville! From the moment you walk through the doors, you can immediately feel that this is a special community. It is absolutely beautiful, warm, welcoming, and truly feels like home.
The care and attention given to the residents is evident everywhere you look. The team is friendly, compassionate, attentive, and genuinely engaged with the people they serve. You can tell this isn’t simply a job to them—they truly care about their residents and their families.
The dining experience is exceptional! The chefs do an incredible job, and the meals are beautifully prepared and presented. It feels much more like dining in a wonderful restaurant than what you might expect in senior living. The pride the culinary team takes in what they serve definitely shows!
The community itself is gorgeous. The courtyard is beautiful and inviting, providing such a peaceful place for residents and families to enjoy time outdoors. The resident rooms are equally impressive—bright, comfortable, beautifully designed, and truly feel like a place someone would be proud to call home.
A special shout-out to Melissa, the Executive Director, whose leadership and commitment to excellence are reflected throughout the entire community. It takes a strong, caring leader to create such a positive culture, and it is obvious she has an amazing team.
And I cannot say enough about Desiree, the Sales Director, who gave the tour. She was absolutely wonderful—warm, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly genuine. She took the time to explain everything, answer questions, and really showcase what makes Arbor Ridge so special. You can immediately tell how much she believes in her community and cares about the families she meets.
From the care team to dining, leadership, housekeeping, activities, and everyone in between, Arbor Ridge of Huntersville deserves to be bragged about! It is a beautiful community filled with wonderful people who clearly take pride in creating the very best experience for their residents. I know where I will be placing my Mother when the time comes!

From the Executive Director to the dining staff to the housekeepers all have the residents best interests in mind.
