In February 2024, I made the decision to move my widowed dad from Pompano Beach to Miami so he could be closer to family. We toured two facilities, and from the moment we visited The Oasis, we knew it was the right place for him. There was an event happening that day with wonderful food and music, and everyone we met was genuinely warm and welcoming. At first, I wondered if that hospitality was just part of the sales process—but I was wrong. For the entire two years my dad lived there, the kindness, personal attention, and compassion never wavered. The Oasis truly embodies the meaning of family. As a daughter who didn’t live in Florida, knowing my dad was there gave me tremendous peace of mind. When his health began to decline, I questioned whether it was time to move him to a higher level of care. The staff gently reassured me that he was exactly where he needed to be—home. My father passed away last month, and it meant everything to us that he was able to spend his final days where he felt most comfortable, not in a hospital. The care and love shown to him were extraordinary. Everyone—from the Director to the staff—checked on him daily. You could see in their eyes how much they truly cared as he declined. That kind of compassion cannot be taught; it’s simply who they are. I will forever be grateful to The Oasis for the dignity, comfort, and love they gave my father—and for the peace they gave me.
